Webinar Announcement: ‘From Video to Revenue: Fixing the Broken OTT Video Value Chain’

Filmed: Wednesday, November 02 @ 11:00AM ET
Broadcast and over-the-top (OTT) video content is in the early stages of a great evolution much like the ad revenue shift from print to online. Mobile video consumers are growing by 41 percent, and while they account for just 10 percent of media consumed on the go, they represent a whopping 50 percent of mobile data traffic. Communication services providers (CSPs) are already struggling to meet the demand mobile viewers place on their networks.
Despite the struggles to meet demand, the shift in video presents CSPs with a significant opportunity to monetize. Traditional broadcast video and physical media markets are approximately a USD$150 billion per year industry in the US alone. And everyone in that broadcast value chain— from content producers to services providers—share in the profits from value-added services. The same evolution will occur in OTT video driven by the adoption of an architecture that facilitates the delivery of revenue via several streams of monetization: QoE-based subscriptions, QoE-based revenue sharing and ultimately advertising revenue.
Join Brian Partridge, Vice President at Yankee Group, Mate Prgin, President and CEO of Avvasi, and W. William Diotte, President and CEO of BroadHop, Inc. as they discuss the revenue shift from broadcast to OTT video and outline the CONNEXUS architecture that connects QoE-differentiated video services to content monetization and ad revenue.

Mate Prgin, CEO of Avvasi and Susan McNeice, Vice President of Yankee Group who chaired the panel discussion, presented: ‘Assuring Optimal Experience Beyond the Network’. Improving the customer experience goes well beyond network quality of service (QoS). The right customer experience is the key to boosting operational efficiencies, building customer loyalty and growing wallet share. The goal is to improve operations, lower costs, conquer new markets and generate new revenue streams. Panelists shared case studies of companies that are successfully winning customer mindshare—and wallet share—by prioritizing customer experience both in and beyond the network.

Webinar: Monetizing Video in a Multi-service Environment
Thursday June 09, 2011 – 10:00-11:00am New York / 3:00-4:00pm London
Many subscribers are willing to pay for services to improve their mobile viewing experience. To maximize the opportunity this inclination brings, service providers must focus on determining not only which video strategy is most attractive in terms of revenue generation, but also on how video can be delivered over an optimally dimensioned network and with minimum impact on other revenue generating services such as voice.
Bob Wilkinson CTO of Tektronix Communications and Mate Prgin CEO of Avvasi, looked into video trends and how organizations can maximize revenues from video services while maintaining the entire service portfolio quality. Attendees learned:
- How to generate additional revenues with minimal cost, while protecting revenue from existing services (voice and data)
- How to monetize video through direct and indirect strategies
- How to ensure customer satisfaction for video and the other revenue generating services delivered over the mobile network
- How to determine how video interacts with other revenue generating services
If you are looking to deal with the challenges and opportunities associated with the growing volume of video in the network, you don’t want to miss this important information.
