Mate Prgin – President & CEO | Co-founder
Mate has years of experience founding, building and selling businesses. He is responsible for the overall management and strategic direction of the company.
Prior to Avvasi, Mate held several business management roles at LSI Corporation. LSI acquired VideoLocus, an H.264 fabless semiconductor company where Mate was the co-founder and CEO. Prior to VideoLocus, Mate held several engineering roles at PixStream, a video networking systems company that was acquired by Cisco Systems. Mate has a Bachelor of Applied Science in Systems Design Engineering from the University of Waterloo and an MBA from Richard Ivey School of Business.
Michael Gallant – CTO & VP Engineering | Co-founder
Michael is responsible for setting the product and technology direction for Avvasi. With his many years of experience founding and developing technology business, Michael leads the Avvasi team of seasoned engineers.
Prior to Avvasi, Michael held several engineering management roles at LSI Corporation. LSI acquired VideoLocus, an H.264 fabless semiconductor company where Michael was the co-founder and Chief Architect. Prior to VideoLocus, Michael held several engineering roles at PixStream, a video networking systems company that was acquired bdy Cisco Systems. Michael has a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of British Columbia and is an Adjunct Professor with the Department of Systems Design Engineering at the University of Waterloo.
John Vukovic – CFO & VP Operations
John is responsible for the financial and internal operations of Avvasi. John has over 18 years of experience leading emerging and established technology companies through successful growth and change.
John is responsible for the financial and internal operations of Avvasi, including manufacturing, finance, human resources, IT and administration. Prior to joining Avvasi, John was Chief Operating Officer & CFO, Americas for Odyssey Financial Technologies (sold to Temenos SA), COO/CFO of Telmetrics Inc., and Chief Financial Officer at Fastvibe (sold to Telus). He has also held senior finance and operations roles with several other emerging, successful venture capital backed companies. John has a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Toronto and holds Chartered Accountant and Chartered Business Valuator designations.
