Senior Product Manager

Opportunity:

Reporting to senior company management, the successful candidate will be responsible for definition and implementation of product strategies from concept to end-of-life. You will use your knowledge of telecom and mobile technologies to drive technical and market requirements for new products as well as product enhancements. Your will use your industry knowledge and contacts to discuss our product strategy and industry trends with prospective customers, deeply understanding their needs, and turn that customer insight into actionable business and technical product requirements and plans. You will be responsible for leading cross-functional product teams to meet product development milestones as measured by customer interest, product trials, and revenue. You will also partner and work with business development to define technology and business agreements. You will create and review product marketing documents, launch materials, customer presentations and sales training materials. The successful candidate will use their financial knowledge to create innovative pricing models, establish distribution channels, and develop and maintain key customer relationships. In short, our products need enthusiastic champions combined with the product management skills and experience to make them happen.

This position will have a great deal of responsibility and will require both extensive independent work as well as constant cross-functional team interaction. It will have a critical effect on the product direction and development at Avvasi.

Requirements:

The candidate should have demonstrated extensive experience in product management and full product development cycles in the telecommunication industry.

Specific requirements include:

• University degree in engineering, computer science, or business; an MBA or an advanced technical degree is an asset;
• 10+ years of directly related experience in technical development, telecom and mobile network operations, and marketing are required;
• Deep understanding of the Product Management lifecycle and related methodologies;
• Proven technical background with a deep and demonstrable understanding of broadband, mobile, and IP data networking technologies;
• Experience with video and audio technology, broadcast, IPTV, and video networking services is highly valuable;
• Extensive experience in the telecom and mobile operator industry, specifically telecom equipment product development or marketing;
• Demonstrable experience with successful product launches;
• Strong business and financial acumen;
• Experience in market analysis, including market segmentation, competitive analysis, industry trends, and risk analysis;
• Understands the basics of software and hardware engineering development processes as well as manufacturing processes and lifecycles;
• Excellent communication and group interaction skills too allow understanding and communication of as well as collaboration on ideas and plans with the entire Avvasi team and prospective customers and partner;
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline driven organization;
• Highly organized, motivated, and execution-oriented;
• Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills;
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills;
• Strong project management, negotiation, and decision-making skills;
